Building RPA with Power Automate (PL-500)
This course equips participants with practical skills to design, build, and manage RPA and workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, covering both cloud flows and Power Automate for desktop. Learners work with Power Platform fundamentals, Dataverse, solution management, process mining, and Process Advisor before moving into building cloud flows, writing expressions, and applying error-handling and troubleshooting techniques. A major focus is Power Automate for desktop, including flow control, conditional actions, variables, loops, recorder-based automation, scripting, web automation, and exception handling for desktop and legacy application automation. The course also covers connecting cloud and desktop flows, sharing flows, and building, authenticating, and configuring custom connectors and OpenAPI extensions for API-based integrations. Extensive hands-on exercises throughout prepare learners to contribute as Power Automate RPA developers on real-world automation projects, aligned with PL-500 exam topics.
